Which Transcripts App to Choose
You may be confused after seeing two similar apps on this site: Advanced Call Transcripts & Summaries and
Advanced Call Transcripts for Workflow.
The main difference is that Advanced Call Transcripts & Summaries uses the built in (native) call transcripts, while
Advanced Call Transcripts for Workflow uses an external API to generate a transcript.
This gives Advanced Call Transcripts for Workflow a few distinct advantages:
- This app will work for inbound calls started with an IVR workflow
- This app will transcribe calls in other languages
- This app can redact certain sensitive info such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc.
- This app is more accurate with the individual word transcriptions
- Finally, it’s much cheaper to run
- The best possible model is priced at $1.04/hr, while the native transcripts are priced at ~$2.40/hr
- Additionally, you can choose to only transcribe calls that matter to you, saving an additional 10-50% in cost.
Workflow Snapshot
To install this system as a snapshot, just install one of the apps above then follow instructions to import the snapshot! If you use Advanced Call Transcripts for Workflow then your workflow may look slightly different than shown in the video, but the snapshot will have the working version.
Custom Fields
This system requires that you have the following four contact custom fields. You can create a folder to store these as shown in the video for better organization.
Generated Email Body

This is the body of the email that you’re going to be sending to the contact if you confirm it.
Email Update Prompt
Multiline
This is the box where you can enter a prompt in order to update the email body using ChatGPT.
Last Call Transcript
Multiline
This will hold the transcript of the last completed phone call so that you can use it when updating the email with ChatGPT (for more context).
Confirm & Send
Checkbox
This will be a list of checkboxes to Confirm & Send the email as any user. You can add multiple check boxes for each user that you want to send as.

Generate Initial Email
This workflow uses the call transcript in order to generate an initial followup email.
Customize Email
This workflow feeds in our call transcript, generated email, and a prompt to update the email in order to change the email how you need.
Confirm & Send Email
This workflow fires when we check one of the boxes in Confirm & Send to send the email with a custom signature.
